Here is my finished front cover for my school magazine

Magazine front

From the title of the magazine we can immediately see that the magazine is about classic rock, this is because the title is called classic rock and there is also a main image for the front cover of Aerosmith and it also mentions its weekly with Aerosmith showing whats going to be inside.

The magazine is presenting Aerosmith like a god with the gesture he is using and being central on the magazine as the main image along with a white background.

Due to the title classic rock and Aerosmith being the main feature of the cover the magazine is clearly aimed at elder people as Aerosmith are an older classic band

The barcode is on the right side which will most likely be covered by other magazines whilst the most important information is covered in the left third, in the left third there is also the selling line which is death, drugs and dinners with jimmy page due to the topics described which are quite interesting these could be used to attract buyers.

I have started to design my front cover now and have already created the background i am looking at fonts to use for the words here are some of the options i looked at

I chose to go with the bottom font called eras bold as i think it suits the style of the magazine and is also attractive.

 

Photograph for my magazine

I have now got my photograph for my frontcover which today i will be photoshopping on to a front cover for my magazine!

I have now planned out my front cover for my preliminary task. I am going to use the name St Marks Sentintel at the top of the cover along with the school logo next ot it, these will be on top with a burgundy backgrand so it matches the theme of the school.

 

I will be having a picture of a student working along with a picture of the front of the school.

I will also be using a quote that is relevant to the school and will stand out on the cover.
